Don’t worry, I’m not bored with you at all, it’s fun to discuss this with someone. ^^ Mostly, thanks for asking again! (makes me feel like my long-ass rant are worth reading ; w ;)
Okay so my answer will to both questions at the same time. To start things off, I think that Chae Young’s use has not expired so she won’t be executed just yet for the murder of Wang Moo. Rather, I think that Wook and Yeonghwa will use her to cause the miscarriage. See, Chae Ryoung has remained quite attached to Wook and I feel like she still believes that WookSoo will be happiest together. If not that, she still remains loyal to him to a certain degree and more importantly, she trusts him. At this point in time, I don’t think that anything could make Soo feel guilty enough to miscarry just for Wook (who, I remind you, has turned his back to her in her face multiple times already).
Considering I’ve watched a few historical dramas, I know that there are many ways to cause someone pregnant to miscarry. Certain herbal teas/tonics can do the job, and incense too. I’m assuming Yeonghwa and Wook will work together for this, with Wook being the one to make Chae Ryoung serve the tonic/burn the incense under the pretence that it’ll help the baby grow or some bs (since she trusts him more than she trusts Yeonghwa). He’ll probably also tell her to keep quiet about his involvement and she probably will, thinking that he’s the type that stays in the shadows doing things to protect the woman he loves. Being the blissfully unaware idiot, she serves the tea while lying and saying something like “I heard this is really good for pregnant women!” and of course Soo would trust her because why would she be suspicious of her friend?? and by the time anybody realizes anything, it’s way too late and bam! no more baby.
Now, for Chae Ryoung’s death, it can go two ways: 1) her involvement with both cases is uncovered and she will be publicly executed or 2) Wook/Yeonghwa uses her as a scapegoat and make her write a confession letter before committing suicide or just have her confess to everything. The second option would work because both siblings are hella good with words and they could make her think that she is the entire reason why Soo miscarried. And she probably would feel like the sole culprit since the shock of hurting the one person who was always good to her would cause her logic to go haywire. This way, the “real culprit” is found and Wook gets away with any and all involvement.
If Chae Ryoung is publicly executed (chances of her dying are 100% imo), I don’t think Soo would really hate-hate So. Why? because that would be way too freaking illogical. As righteous as you can be, Chae Ryoung did cause the death of the ex-crown prince and Soo’s unborn baby so if So doesn’t kill her, people would be like “wtf? why are you not killing this traitor/murderer??”. Soo will probably plead for her case and beg So to not kill her friend simply because that’s in her character (if she doesn’t, my reaction would be this O A O). After the death, she’ll probably angst for a while but ultimately accept it (although it might add more ammo to her storage room of ‘so is evil and will kill everyone’).
I’m gonna repeat this again, these are purely speculations on my part so feel free to message me if you wanna discuss about points i might’ve missed or am wrong about.
