So, having converted a grand total of 11 people into Moon Lovers fans, I just had to write down a few headcanons (can they be called headcanons?) that popped up in my head while rewatching past episodes.

1. Time crawls by when he’s away from her. When it’s at night, and he is alone with his thoughts, So sometimes takes out Soo’s hairpin from the folds of his robes, warmed by the heat of his skin. He looks up and sees the night sky, and thinks of her.

2. So likes to meet Soo in open spaces, whether it’s under the starry night sky or in the wide clearing that is surrounded by trees. It’s not like he doesn’t want to meet her indoors–he does, because there’s a lot more privacy inside–but he likes to give her a bit of freedom, even if it’s only for a short moment.

3. So lifts his head in surprise when he hears Soo’s voice announcing that she had tea just beyond the doors; shouldn’t she be at the gyobang? With a smile, the king indulgently informs him that he had appointed a new head of the Damiwon, a face that should be familiar to him.

4. It’s become common knowledge that the Damiwon head will disappear during her days off. Speculation runs rampant in the Damiwon regarding her whereabouts, until one day one of the lower maids spots her walking with the fearsome fourth prince.
